When woven between walls or laid above ceilings, the durable barriers significantly reduce noise transmission between adjacent rooms Our gray reinforced barrier is made with an internal nylon mesh to prevent stretching and tearing when installed. Ideally applied during new construction or remodeling, PROSPEC Barrier can stop up to 42 decibels of noise in the speech and music frequencies, compared to standard walls, which stop from 25 to 33 decibels.

Available in .5 LB, .75 LB, 1 LB, and 2 LB per square foot weights, this product is ideal for adding STC points to Floors, walls and ceilings. Where additional noise blocking is needed we can recommend several layers of dissimilar materials, air spaces, etc. to create a partition that will get you the STC value you are after.
